People have a bad habit of giving up, forgetting why they started to do something, go off track, however you want to put it, and it is in my opinion the main thing that comes between someone trying to achieve a certain goal, such as, say, losing excess weight, extra fat deposited in a person's body.
There are things that are difficult about losing weight, there is the physical requirements of course because it does involve exercising and many people don't exercise, they do things like walking, maybe running every now and then to catch a bus or something like that but few people actually go out to run just for the sake of it, for the health benefits and for staying fit, people are sedentary, many of them, and this is a big factor in unhealthy weight gain and becoming overweight/obese, another being nutrition and of course many people eat whatever they see fit, not paying attention to the calorie in-take or anything like that, people that do that and that actually carefully select what they eat and even weigh the food and so on are people like athletes, bodybuilders and so on.
Another this besides the physical requirement is the mental requirements, this is why some succeed and other don't. Some people are weaker willed than others and this is the hard truth. They cancel a day or exercising or going out for a run simply because it's a bit cloudy and they get depressed when they look at themselves in the mirror, they think to themselves that they can't do it and feel ashamed of their own bodies and don't make a change.
You know how they say that is you want something bad enough, you can succeed in doing it? Well it's actually true but it's hard to stay focused and keep doing work towards your goal when you're not enjoying, not even a bit, what it is that you are doing to achieve that goal and I think we can all agree that running around or lifting weights is not very fun, some people actually enjoy it, including me, I actually enjoy going out on a beautiful day and running while listening to some good music, but not everyone is like that.
That is the trick actually, to somehow do it in a way that you can enjoy it.
Do you know how many people play video games? I wish so many people would workout and eat healthy and be fit but they don't and that is because video games are fun, living healthy is for many, not that fun and a challenge when they've lived their lives in such an unhealthy way, it's hard to change those unhealthy habits but change always comes with its own difficulties and it always takes time. I can't really tell you how to make living healthy enjoyable because it can be something different for each person but if you can do that, it's going to get a lot easier. To give you an example, for me it's a lot more fun to workout with a friend than alone, we talk between exercises or while running, crack some jokes, we're also competitive so we motivate each other, etc.
